Gavinis an executive leader with more than 25 years’ experience across people leadership, operations and business transformation in complex, asset‑intensive organisations. He has led at executive and board level across government, transport, aviation, logistics, and services sectors.
Previously, Gavin held executive leadership roles at Sydney Trains during a period of significant financial, customer, and asset transformation, leading portfolios spanning HR, industrial relations, communications, media, and government affairs. He also held senior leadership roles with Qantas Airways over more than a decade in human resources, operational leadership and finance.
Gavin holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and has completed post graduate studies including Chartered Accountant qualifications Executive Development at Macquarie University and Practitioner of Change qualifications.
