Role at ANSTO
Catriona Thomson is a beamline scientist on the MX beamlines at the Australian Synchrotron. She supports and collaborates with the chemical crystallography user community.
Catriona has a background in supramolecular crystallography. Her experience has ranged from the synthesis and crystallographic studies of small molecules through to supramolecular cages and coordination polymers. She also has experience with host-guest studies of crystalline supramolecular assemblies, with a particular focus on chalcogen bonding interactions.
Expertise
Single-crystal X-ray diffraction, crystal engineering, supramolecular chemistry, chalcogen bonding.
